The girls have just finished their world tour New Evolution stop in America and have announced that they are adding countries Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia to their world tour list. They have also announced a new album that will be released sometime in October. With 2NE1 and Big Bang being busy touring this 2012, I thought it would be fun to do DIY/Style tutorials for VIPS/Blackjacks for when they come to your countries! The first nail tutorial that I wanted to do was inspired by our maknae Minzy. I thought that instead of doing just one nail tutorial for Minzy, I should just combine two. The red heart design has a few heart gems and the star design also looks like some sort of sticker, but some people can't find the gems so I am just going to paint them.

It doesn't have to be the exact type of nail polish that I use, just work with what you have. Instead of doing a black background for the star design, I decided to do a midnight blue because it looks a lot like a starry night sky.
1) Start off by using a base coat for your nails (it'll be easier to remove the dark color when it starts to chip). After the base coat dries, decide how you want your nails to be patterned. I choose my pinky and index finger to be the heart designs and the others to be the stars. If you're as messy as I am sometimes, don't worry about the nail polish that ends up on your skin. When your nail polish dries, wash your hands, then the excess nail polish easily peels off.
2) Let's start with the hearts! I did this on nails close to eachother so it's easier to see. This is a much more simple design compared to the finished look. For the hearts, use a thin brush and make a stroke (Step 1). Then finish off the heart by making another stroke (Step 2). After that, just add hearts anywhere you want. Don't be afraid to use open hearts or some heart shaped gems. Be creative with it! Step 4 is optional, but it adds a cute touch. Use the thin brush or a dotting tool to create dots that are following the hearts.
3) Just follow the steps. Use a nail polish that has a thin brush such as the Art Deco polishes and stroke the brush from the tips of the star to the center. Minzy choose to have three stars for each nail so I choose a gray, white, and pink star. For STEP 7 instead of using a normal top coat, I choose a glittery top coat to have the starry sky look and also added a few circular gems. When you do add gems, make sure to top coat it again so it stays on longer.
